Great, not a pro-life Catholic in the bunch. St. Michael, Archangel, defend us from “pro-abortion” Catholics.
Jesus, Mary I love you – save souls!
Back before Vatican II, prayed for the conversion of Russia and for the church. I’m sharing these with all of you in the hope that tomorrow as many as possible will use them to help those participants who represent us overcome obstacles. St. Michael’s prayer is being used during the 40 days for Life. Thanks for helping!!!
Leonine Prayers
Back in the era prior to Vatican II, Catholics were accustomed to saying the prayers “at the foot of the altar” which are also known as the Leonine Prayers from Pope Leo the XIII. In 1884,He had a vision of St. Michael the Archangel in a battle with Satan over the church. In response, the Holy Father ordered Catholics to say the following prayers.
Hail Mary – three times
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
Salve Regina – Hail Holy Queen
Hail, holy queen, mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry , poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning, and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V. Pray for us, O holy mother of God,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
Let Us Pray
O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with favor upon Thy people who cry to Thee; and through the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, mother of God, of her spouse, St. Joseph, of Thy holy apostles Peter and Paul, and all the saints, mercifully and graciously hear the prayers which we pour forth to Thee for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
St. MICHAEL, the archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil. We humbly beseech God to command him, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the divine power thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who roam through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
