The Indiana General Assembly passed state-level legislation during their last session similar to Rep. Mike Pence’s effort on the federal level to de-fund tax dollars to Planned Parenthood.
Then this afternoon, the Obama Administration sent a letter to the State of Indiana stating they have denied approval of Indiana’s State Medicaid plan which prohibits state and federal funds administered by the state from going to entities that perform abortions or maintain or operate facilities where abortions are performed, except for hospitals or ambulatory surgical centers.
Such a move by the federal government today against Indiana might shift this fight into the courts. Stay tuned…

Cardinal Newman Society's annual "Choosing a Catholic College"
A new report released today by The Cardinal Newman Society (CNS) reveals a troubling relationship between Planned Parenthood and several Catholic colleges and universities.
The report titled “A Scandalous Relationship: Catholic Colleges and Planned Parenthood” unearths more than 150 current and past connections of Catholic colleges and universities to the national abortion provider, as documented on the Internet. In the report, CNS urges Catholic colleges and universities to “embrace a no-tolerance position for any relationship with Planned Parenthood,” which CNS asserts is “a leading contributor to what Pope John Paul II labeled a ‘culture of death’.” (more…)
For the past couple weeks, Planned Parenthood has been running television ads in the Washington D.C. media market attempting to distract from the fact they use our tax dollars to fund abortion.
Now, Catholic Advocate has joined with other leading pro-life organizations to launch an educational ad featuring former Planned Parenthood Employee of the Year turned pro-life activist Abby Johnson.
